At United Rubber Paving Services we turn recycled rubber into refinished driveways, patios, walkways, playgrounds, pool decks, etc. We can pave over others surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, gravel, ground, and wood. As well, we can create our own base using plastic blocking that can support up to 30000 lbs./square foot.  There are many different colours to complement the black base, including: khaki, chestnut, grey, blue, green, and red. On top of the recycled sherflek products we also offer EPDM (non-recycled) products in premium colours such as: pearl, beige, yellow, purple, bright green, bright red, and bright blue.

    What is rubber paving and how does it work?

    Rubber Paving is a recycled tire product ground into small nuggets that can be bound together by an adhesive to create a “concrete alternative” walkway, driveway, patio, or playground. If you have ever been mesmerized by how wonderful the ground on a newly built playground feels, then you are being mesmerized by a rubber paving product. It is laid on just like concrete and left to dry until a finished product is ready for your enjoyment.

    How much does rubber paving cost?

    Rubber Paving costs anywhere from $11.00/sqft, to $14.50/sqft for any walkways, patios, or driveways. However if you are building a playground, things can get a little more pricy due to legal regulations and assurance of a good solid base in case a kid falls off a high play structure. Although, there is a 10% senior discount, so make sure you claim that if you are over 65.

    How long does the process take?

    The Process takes no longer than a week once we start laying rubber, although wait times on products may very from time to time. As well, the rubber must be left to dry for 3 days.

    Are there customization options?

    Of course there are! We take pride in our ability to match any driveway, walkway, patio, or playground to the wants and designs of the customer. If you want your house number paved into your driveway, we can do that; if you want a train track paved into your playground, we can do that. There are endless options for your project to look even better than you imagined.
